St. Trinian’s - the sixth in a long-running series of movies based on the works of Ronald Searle (cartoonist). The first four movies form a series, beginning with The Belles of St Trinian’s in 1954, having sequels in 1957, 1960, 1966. The The Wildcats of St Trinian’s from 1980 was not a great critical success. The books are based actually on St Trinnean’s School for Girls, in Edinburgh. Ronald Searle stayed with a schoolgirl’s parents - Cecily Johnston during the war; when he found out the goings on decided on drawing the cartoons. That school was closed right after the war and now is St Leonards House in Pollock Halls, the student residences for Edinburgh University.

The infamous school for the ‘young ladies’, St Trinian’s, is facing once again dire financial crisis. So, while unorthodox headmistress Camilla Fritton tries to deal with the brand new Education Minister Geoffrey Thwaites’ (Colin Firth) non-stop advances and his firm objective of transforming this chaotic establishment into respectable ‘ladies’ college, this responsibility for saving the St Trinian’s from its creditors falls now to the anarchic pupils. These fearless girls got together a motley crew of associates, teachers and the rest of the school‘s uninhibited pranksters, who, when they’re using wit, sass, ingenuity and determination, attempt of pulling off the ‘robbery’ of the century and save the school up from impending bankruptcy.

So, can their mixed cunning and lack of shame really save the day before school’s out – for good?

School can be a riot… Enjoy it!…
