Cloverfield - a 2008 monster/horror film produced by J. J. Abrams, written by Drew Goddard and directed by Matt Reeves. The film revolves around some monster attack in NY, told from the point of view of different people. Five young New Yorkers throwing their friend a party exactly on the same night that the gigantic beast attacks the city. It’s from the perspective of five hand held video cameras. The length of this movie is exactly of a DV Tape; bits and pieces of the video previously recorded on the tape that’s being recorded over. So, the movie begins with an unknown monster destroys buildings. Panic, chaos… parts of the building plus the head of the Statue of Liberty falling down. People… trying to escape, trying to save a friend, a loved one… Breathtaking story, full of reality… it really brings out all the types of emotion in you…
